Therapy for Young Women
Step Higher Inc.-Nella’s Place can be the answer to every troubled teenage girl problem of frustration, fear and failing out of traditional schools. Teens here are safe and secure, and work with highly trained and qualified staff members on their own goals for the future. Step Higher Inc.-Nella’s Place also has a unique treatment approach using Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavior Therapy which is a method that emboldens teen girls to be the center of their own healing.
Every day we open our doors and greet our youth, stakeholders, colleagues, and community with love and respect. We commit to mending the minds bodies & spirits along with providing constant improvement and intentional support.
You have blessings to share and receive, and you are welcome to join us.
Come take a tour and get involved! Bring your energy and resources and find out how you can help Inspire the world starting with Step Higher Inc.-Nella’s Place.
Each young woman participates in individual therapy at least once a week where they meet with a licensed mental health clinician who provides a safe and supportive, yet challenging, environment for them to process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences
We operate several group therapy sessions each week to address issues that our young women may be struggling with and to present other routes for healing. The three group areas are as follows:
Conditions We Address
- Drug and Alcohol Abuse
- Eating Disorders
- Reactive Attachment Disorder
- Suicide and Mental Health
- Teenage Drug and Alcohol Abuse

Suicidal ideation, or suicidal thoughts, means having thoughts, ideas, or ruminations about the possibility of ending one’s own life. It is not a diagnosis but is a symptom of some mental disorders and can also occur in response to adverse events without the presence of a mental disorder. Call 988 or visit https://988lifeline.org/
